A************************************** *********
you wonderful guys and gals.
Just had my annual check-up
and except for the usual aches
and pains, both Doctors say I
will live a little longer. I play-
ed it real cool. Had one Doctor
check me out in the morning and
another one check me out in the
afternoon. After a joyous day of
poking, pinching, punching, X-
rays, blood letting, having things
stuck in me, being hit with rub-
ber hammers and being subject-
ed to every conceivable medieval
torture and all the usual mumbo
jumbo these friends were finally
satiated. I must say they enjoy
their work. Why they charge me
for all their fun is a mystery.
I think I should be paid. Now
that I know I'm still alvie, I'm
going to bed for a week, to re-
cuperate. Doctors are really way
out people. How they can go at
it with such great glee and un-
bridled zest is beyond me. When
I get the bills for all that "fun
and games" I will be sick -
that's for sure!
Oh, well, the Reunion will soon
be here and thinking of the Re-
union makes this old world just
a great place to be - especially
July 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th.
I'm gonna live while I'm here
so I won't have any regrets,
when I'm gone!
And speaking of regrets, if
some of you guys don't make
a Reunion SOON, you just ain't
gonna make one, period. If you
think we're gonna come to the
cemetary and dig you up, for a
Reunion, you're crazier than I
am. Just keep telling yourself
"next year" and ZAP - there
just won't be any "next year.'
So, live a little - who the hell
wants to be the richest guy in
the cemetary?
This was the end of my report
but when I sent it to Harold, it
came back marked "refused".
Now, I know my reports are not
so hot, but I try like hell (with-
out much help from you guys)
so I tried to call Mr. H. but
the telephone operator wouldn't
give me his number. I didn't
know whether he was on the
wrong sauce or ran away from
home or just was tired of read-
ing my inanieties or if - and
this scared me - something had
happened to him. So, I called
Vic Challen. who was just leav-
ing for California, had a pleas-
ant chat with him, got Harold's
'phone number and was really
relieved when Harold answered
my call. Wheel A really un-
pleasant few minutes! Harold is
fine. He thinks he may be preg-

Well, great day in the mawin'
- we're down to ONE! One more
month and we'll all be together
again, at Myrtle Beach. Vunder-
bar!
Just mailed my reservation
card to the Ocean Forest - hope
you guys did, too. If you didn't
- do it now. Don't just sit there
with your mouth open.
Our Association membership is
now - are ya ready? - 1,549 -
an increase for the fourth con-
secutive year! Boys and Girls,
nothing succeeds like Success -
how sweet it is! This is all due
to the really GREAT people we
are so fortunate to have, working
so hard, like John Davis, Stanley
Eggers, Clair Mummert, Vic
Challen, Vernon Wates, Harold
Hendricks, to mention just a few
of these wonderful people. They
spend so much time, ability,
money and endless energy and
self sacrifice, to make us the most
successful and largest World War
2 Association, in the United
States, and probably in the World.
The old 152 has 64 good guys -
all wearing their white hats -
but we need 36 more, by Re-
union time or I'll have to hide
out in the men's room, at Myr-
tle Beach. I promised Mr. H.
we would be 100 strong, this year.
Help me out, will ya? If you
can't or won't write, please send
the four bucks. If you can't spare
the four bucks, let me know. I
have four bucks. In fact, I
will pay any and all 152nd men's
dues, who don't have the four
bucks to spare. OK? My Pleas-
ure! But, if you guys are as
tight with your money as you
are about writing, you should all
be millionaires, anyway. But, if
the four bucks is a hang-up, let
me know. I'll take care of it.
Plans are now being worked
out for the 1971 Reunion. We will
have it in Philadelphia, so all
the members going on the Eur-
opean Tour, can leave from Phil-
adelpnia International Airport,
for London, after the Reunion.
How about that? Your Associa-
tion sure has some smart peo-
ple looking out for you. They're
so sharp, they scare me!
The good Lord willin' - me and
Grandma will be at the Philadel-
phia Reunion and on that 'plane
for jolly old London, with all

to be gas on the stomach. He
doesn't know why my letter was
sent back and neither do I. I'm
mailing it again and keeping my

If there is no 152 report in
the HELLCAT NEWS, you pro-
bably won't miss it anyhow. I
don't think anyone reads it be-
cause I never hear from any-
body. I get mighty lonesome but
if I do get a letter from anyone
I'm gonna frame it and hang it
right over the commode. I'm on-
ly kidding, honest.
Take care and God bless . .

"Attended the HELLCAT Con-
vention in Chicago and had a
wonderful time. The Internation-
al Sailing Regatta on the Lake
of the Woods is usually held a-
bout the same time, but this year
I'm free of that responsibility
and have hopes of being at Myr-

ALVIN M. LOEB, C Co.: "The
trip to Europe should certainly
prove enticing to a lot of the
fellows. I'm sure everyone will
have a wonderful time."

haven't changed much over the

keeps me fit."
