According to a report made the
first of this week a total nf. (2629.40
has boon pledged to the United
Charities to carry on relief work
during the coming year. Of this
sum (1822.15 was paid In cash, the
remainder to be paid to monthly in-
stallments. Subscriptions to the
fund Have ranged from 40 cents to
9600.00, with several (60.00 and
above.
The committee working in the drive
still has a few names of people who
hove not yet been solicited, so the
fund may be materially increased

The local. Court of Honor met Fri-
day night and at that time'recognis-
ed the advancement of thirtasn scouts
and awarded additional merit bed-

to the loyal interest of the Court of.
Honor,' members of which have at-
tended each meeting to talk with

The Court of Honor la assisted by
a group of’~40 examiners who ex-
amine the boy* tat approximately HHU
merit badge subjects. Plans have
been discussed .for a meeting in
which the Court of Honor end the
Examiners may come together, with
a view to a better understanding
of-the duties of each. This meeting
will probably take place at the an-
nual scout banquet in February.
