Benefit was a success
Organizers of the Chance Bothe
Benefit would like to thank you for
all the generous donations and gifts
that you gave for the "Thank God for
a second Chance" dinner, dance, and
auction.
The event was a huge success, and
none of it would have been possible
with out everyone's help. All pro-
ceeds will be used to defray medical
expenses that the Bothe family has
incurred from Chance's accident on
January 24.
You truly made a difference.
Thank you again on behalf of the
Bothe family and from everyone
who organized the benefit.

EBLC says thanks
The recent response of the local
populace to the Trivia Night
fundraiser for scholarships has been
so tremendous that the Eleanor
Brackenridge Literary Club wishes
to publically say our hats are off to
you and your generosity for good
works.
The people who organized a team,
team members, business donations,
bought auction items, played Heads
or Tails, decorated table, donated at
the event, or bought lunches, all
made Trivia Night a tremendous
success. Besides being a night of fun
and enjoying the camaraderie in
Jackson County, it will benefit our
youth.
H.D. Thoreau once said “Be not
simply good; be good for some-
thing.” It appears that Jackson
County citizens have done just that
by donating their time, money, and
energy to give the opportunity for
more students to receive scholar-
ships. Education costs have explod-
ed the past few years which makes it
harder for young people to obtain a
college education.
The Eleanor Brackenridge
Literary Club has accepted the chal-
lenge of raising funds for scholar-
ships by starting the annual Trivia
Night. An expansion of scholarships
is the object of this project.

courage, responsibility, feelings and
self worth.
Your generosity is greatly appreci-
ated by the third grade students and
