Cyanamid Lawsuit
Is Settled
Hexcel Products Inc. and
American Cyanamid .Company
today jointly announced settle-
ment of trade secret and patent
litigation initiated by Hexcel in
1964, in Federal Court, Balti-
more, regarding the manufact-
ure and sale of aerospace
honeycomb core material.
Under the terms of the set-
tlement, Cyanamid payments to
Hexcel will cover a license for
the use of certain technical
information and certain Hxcel
patents.
Hexcel describes the pay-
ments as “substantial,” and
said, “they would extend over
a period of several years.”
Both companies will continue
to manufacture honeycomb core
material which is used widely
as a structural component in
aircraft and space applications.
Hexcel is headquartered in
Berkeley, Califrnia, Cyanamid
has Its headquarters in Wayne,
New Jersey.

Receives Vietnam
Service Medal
USS RANGER (CVA-61) (FHT
NC) March 25—Aviation Boat-
swain’s Mate Airman Charles
H. Harmer, USN, son of Mr.
and Mrs. H. G. Farmer of
906 Pecan St., Graham, Tex.,
was awarded the Vietnam Ser-
vice Medal while serving off
the coast of Vietnam aboard the
attack aircraft carrier USS
Ranger, currently on her sec-
ond combat cruise to the Viet-
nam war zone.
Servicemen stationed in
Vietnam or aboard Seventh
Fleet ships in the South China
Sea for 30 or more consecu-
tive days are eligible to receive
the new campaign medal. prior
to last July, the Armed Forces
Expeditionary Medal was
awarded.
With the aircraft of Carrier
Air Wing 14 aboard the Ranger,
the ship is a mobile landing
field for air strikes against
communist targets. Ranger
carries fighters, attack bomb-
ers and reconnaissance air-
craft.

Graham Kiwanis President,
George Hodge. Paul Reedy,
Chairman of the Reception
Committee, introduced Dennis
Barnett, Rev. Orrin Paris, and
two Graham High Key Club
members, John Ford and Don
Burgess.
President George Hodge an-
nounced plans for the 1966 Gra-
ham White Elephant Sale to be
held during the latter part of
April. He reminded all that this
Sale is not for Kiwanis, but
is a Graham affair as all the
proceeds go to support the Youth
projects for Graham young
people. The Graham Scholar-
ship Fund, The Emergency Re-
lief funds, the Youth Club spon-
sored activities, and other
Youth project goals.
Citizens of Graham who may
have some good, but unwanted
