CLIMATIC TEST PROGRAM
F-16 No. 6 (A No. 5) returned to Fort Worth from Panama on 30 October. Tropical climatic tests are
complete. The aircraft will be at Fort Worth about one month for some modifications that will be
made before departing for Eielson AFB, Alaska for cold weather tests.
CMM MODIFICATIONS (CDSC)
Modifications have been completed in the software and hardware for the Coordinate Measuring
Machines (CMM) to incorporate vector move capability. This capability allows the CMM to examine a
machined part in more than X, Y and Z planes to provide a more complete measurement of critical
points. General Dynamics now has the only known true "vectorial measurement" Coordinate Measure-
ment Machine in use for production inspection.
