The Gainesville College.
The closing exercises of the
Gainesville college were largely
attended yesterdaj.
They were also very entertain-
ing. Captain Belsher has proven
himself an educator worthy of the
respect and patronage of our peo-
ple.
The students yesterday were
proud of their achievements and
their teachers were proud of
them, too.
The exercises were unusually
interesting. They showed careful
training and culture and displayed
a thoroughness that did honor to
their teachers.
The patrons were there to ap-
prove with their presence the
work done and the progress.
Prof. Belsher and ^his energetic
corps of teachers deserve credit
for their work. They should be
encouraged. This institution does
good work for our young people
and for our city. As a financial
factor it should be kept «p. As
an educational force it is still more
important.
