from Beasley Wholesale Grocery
Sunday afternoon about 1 o’clock.
The robbery was discovered by
Buren Newman, an employee of
the firm, who was passing there
later in the afternoon. He noticed
the dcor was open and went in,
thinking Mr. Beasley was there
working.
A small amount of tobacco. re-
mained on the floor, apparently
having been dropped by the rob-
bers in their rush to get away.
Mr. Beasley stated that nothing
else but the tobacco was disturbed.

Funeral services for Mrs. T. F.
Thompson, who died at her home,
601 West Main street, Thursday
at noon, were held at 3 o’clock
Friday afternoon from the resi-
dence, with Dr. G. H. Hogan, pas-
tor of the church of which Mrs.
Hogan was a member, conducting.
Interment followed in the city
cemetery.
Mrp. Thompson had been critical-
