Wharton County Library

Wharton County Library is a system of public libraries serving all four corners of Wharton County, Texas. Branches are located in El Campo, Louise, East Bernard and the main library is in the county seat of Wharton. Wharton County Library provides the county population with timely, reliable information. It encourages interest in reading and learning and emphasizes a high-interest, current collection in a variety of formats. Wharton County Library provides a well-trained staff that emphasizes customer-friendly service. The Wharton County Library received a 2015-2016 Tocker Foundation grant to include its Wharton Journal-Spectator on The Portal to Texas History.
