About

The Mary Couts Burnett Library at TCU provides intellectual resources, innovate technology tools and an inspiring physical and virtual environment to serve TCU’s diverse community of learners, supported by approachable and resource staff.

Students and faculty have access to more than 1.9 million books, CDs, DVDs, videos and over 108,00 current journals, electronically and in paper, that are housed in the TCU Library and at the offsite library annex. More than 460 databases, many of which include the full-text journal articles, are available 24 hours a day via the website.

Particular collections include Texas, United States and European Union documents; the Archives of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition; the papers of former Speaker of the House, James C. Wright Jr., the papers of Amon G. Carter Sr; the University Archives and the special collections of rare books and manuscripts such as the William Luther Lewis Collection of English and American Literature. Through active membership in local, regional and national library consortia, the library is able to secure for TCU advantages that come with library resource sharing. TCU’s membership in Tex Share enables TCU faculty and students to obtain borrowing privileges from more than 150 academic libraries throughout out Texas.
