The Private Collection Litzler Family

Lifelong Texan Andrew August Litzler was born and raised near Beasley, Texas and was the youngest of 14 children. Andy went on to serve during the Korean War and study engineering at The University of Houston where he met his wife, Wilma Sue Litzler née Louis. In addition to his job as an engineer at General Dynamics in Fort Worth, Texas Andy loved to spend his time woodworking and researching genealogy.

This collection tells the story of how the Litzler family originated in Grentzingen, France and made their way to Texas as part of The Old 300 as written by Andy. Included in The Litzler Journal is the family genealogy up to 1995 and is followed by CATS: Memoir of a Depression Baby, a collection of tales about Andy’s life and family.

In memory of Andrew August Litzler 1928-2013. Member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, Fort Worth Genealogical Society, and Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
