The J.M. Back assortment covers images of the Back family who settled on a fifty acre farm in Collin County, Texas in 1883. Postcards of World War I and II veterans, letters, poll tax forms, and grocery receipts provide a window of the life of early Texas farm families. The assortment includes farm pictures taken by the family as well as studio photographs. The collection was given by the grandson and great grandson, Jim and Larkin Toler.

Nelle King Turney, the granddaughter of Murphy, Texas, namesake William Andrew Murphy, includes pictures of the family farm, homes, schools, race horses, vacations, and studio portraits of both the Murphy, King, and Turney families from 1894-1950s. The album was donated by family caretaker and longtime Murphy resident, Dessie Haker.

Marcie Nelson Griffith compilation contains photographs of the Woodrow Nelson family and their relatives, a farming family who lived in Murphy and were neighbors to the Back family.

The donated photographs of Betty Nelson Zotiewicz contain images of both the Noel Nelson family and Yarborough family.

Janice Allman was given a rusty tin box containing an eclectic assortment of photographs and World War I and II postcards with that was hidden in the rafter of a garage in Plano, Texas for fifty years. Many postcards were written by member of the Milton Matlock family from Murphy.
