Valley Mills Progress
The Valley Mills Progress has served the community of Valley Mills, Texas since 1989. Valley Mills is located in Bosque and McClennan counties near the Bosque River. The city takes its name from a flour mill built on the Bosque River in Bosque County in 1867. In 1882, a cyclone destroyed many of the buildings in the original townsite. Following the cyclone, residents moved to the other side of the river to rebuild, thus extending the town into McClennan County. The city was incorporated in 1896.
