Terry County Area Newspapers
The Terry County Area Newspaper Collection includes early years of the Terry County Herald and the Terry County Voice, representing Brownfield and wider Terry County. Brownfield, the county seat, was founded in 1904 and formally organized with a mayoral election in 1921. The newspapers in this collection span the early development of this west Texas city, from small plot of land to thriving center of trade for an agricultural county.
