The Miniature Book News reports on auctions, collections, and aspects of collecting, as well as the history of printers, publishers, collections, and institutions. Issues started in September 1965 and were published through June 1973 (Number 32). It resumed in June 1978 (Number 33) through March 1983 (Number 52) and was suspended until June 1987 (Number 53). Since 2001, it has been incorporated into the Miniature Book Society Newsletter.

This scholarly publication started as the project of Julian I. Edison, a graduate of Harvard University and well-known figure in various civic activities. He is a scholar as well as a collector of miniature books, and has published not only the Miniature Book News, but also several other works on miniature books.
