The Marshall Morning News was a daily newspaper published out of Marshall, Texas from 1919 to 1937, when it was renamed The Marshall News Messenger. Located in Harrison County, the city of Marshall saw steady growth with the success of its cotton industry throughout the early-twentieth century. While this newspaper continues to publish under a different name, these issues of The Marshall Morning News highlight this early phase of Marshall’s growth and the community’s perspective on national and international events
