About the Jo Streit Film Footage Collection

Jo Streit was a film producer, director, and a University of North Texas master's graduate. She began her career as a journalist, having studied the field at Texas A&M. However, she pivoted to filmmaking when she was given an opportunity to produce and direct a documentary following Ross Perot's presidential campaign. That footage spanned nearly a decade, and the effort would result in Streit's best-known documentary, Flirting with Power. The film was screened at festivals across the United States.
