About the Collection
Home of the Big Cypress Bayou and a Carnegie library, Jefferson contains a variety of historic establishments and tourist attractions. The Home Advocate was "A Weekly Journal Devoted to Christianity, Education, Home Enterprise, and General Intelligence." The paper was owned by George A. Kelly and edited/published by F. J. Patillo.
