Denton Chamber of Commerce Collection

The Digital Collection

The Denton Chamber of Commerce Collection contains film footage and sound recordings drawn from a much larger collection of Chamber of Commerce materials available in tangible form in the UNT Libraries' Special Collections.

The Physical Collection

The Denton Chamber of Commerce Collection contains materials donated by the Denton Chamber of Commerce and director Joe Camp. The collection contains documents, photographs, letters, newspapers, sound recordings, home movies, and promotional films that document the Chamber’s activities from 1938-1998. The majority of these records concern an advertising campaign developed by the organization in 1967 to attract new businesses to the city of Denton. Included is the 1967 film, Dynamic Denton, which features various locations in the city of Denton and comments from North Texas State University Alumni.

For more information, including historical notes and inventories of the materials, please see the physical collection's finding aid.
