About Deborah Crombie
Deborah Crombie is the award-winning author of the Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James British crime novel series. Born in Dallas and raised in Richardson, Texas, Crombie earned a degree in biology at Austin College, and then began working in the newspaper advertising field.
After living in the United Kingdom for some time, Crombie returned to North Texas to work in her family's business, focus on her family, and begin writing mystery novels. Since 1993, she has produced some fifteen British crime novels. In these works, Crombie's love for the UK fuses with her keen writing style, taking the audience into the world of Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James.
About the Physical Collection
The collection is composed of personal papers along with manuscripts of the author's novels, which include handwritten notes and corrections. The personal papers series includes reviews, research for novels in progress, and correspondence. Learn more in our finding aid.
