The Bellville Times
The Bellville Times, established in 1879, continues in publication today as the newspaper of record, serving the city of Bellville, as well as wider Austin County. The city of Bellville was founded by early Texas settler Thomas A. Bell in 1848 and incorporated as the Austin County seat. Situated within the Texas-German belt, Bellville hosts a notable German culture and influence.
