Girls,
The holidays are 'history.' It's time to look ahead. A lot has been
happening...
I hope you all received your letterhead. If you need more, just say so. We
will get it to you as quickly as possible.
The Newsletter is soon to be out. Lucile, Janet McDaniel and I have been
hashing things over about more frequent issues, costs, deadlines, etc. The
three of us will have a meeting in Denton in March to make the final
decisions. Our goal is to be more efficient, cost conscious and effective.
Wish us luck!
On March 10-11-12, the WASP are going to have a booth at the WAI
Conference in Dallas. If you plan to attend and haven't contacted WAI to
register, be sure to say you are a WASP and you will be registering under
the 'student' rate. It is quite a reduction in price. The banquet fee is
additional. Barbara London and Florene Watson will be named to the
Pioneer Hall of Honor at the Banquet Saturday night, March 12 at the
Adams Mark Hotel.
On April 1-4 during Cherry Blossom Time in Washington, DC, we are
having a multi-fold event. It started as a Region I Reunion and a Board
Meeting and has snowballed into quite a few things. For that reason, we
want to be sure that ALL WASP know they are invited.
" We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Capitol; 550 C Street SW;
Washington, DC 20024; 202-554-2780.
" FYI - this hotel caters greatly to NASA because it is the hotel they use
