Judge Joseph Bledsoe died at
his home in Sherman Wednesday
at noon after several weeks ill-
ness. Judge Bledsoe came to
Texas m 1853. He was a gallant
Confederate soldier, and after
the war, was, for a long while,
district judge of this district, and
afterwards for many years presi-
dent of the City Bank of Sher-
man. Judge Bledsoe was an able
lawyer and a just judge and a
good citizen. He was a man of
very strong character.
