The Texas Department of
Health Regional Office in
Arlington announces an Im-
munization Clinic to be held
in Stephenville at the Cham-
berlin Elementary School on
Tuesday, June 27,1978, from
2p.m.to4p.m.
The Clinic will provide
immunizations against diph-
theria-tetanus-pertussis
(DTP), polio, rubella. (red
measles) and rubella (German
measles), for infants two
months to youth through 18
years. (Exception: Measles
vaccine is not given beyond
age 12 routinely. State-
supplied rubella vaccine, sin-
gle or combined, is not to be
administered past the 12th
birthday.)
Immunizations are incom-
plete if a child has not
received three doses of DTP

ed the wedding, Saturday
night in Dublin, of Debbie
Pendleton. Karen was a
bridesmaid.

Carey Dameron of Stephen-
ville and John Fair of Dublin,
ate Sunday dinner in the
home of Mrs. Ottie Fair. Mrs.
John Fair and children were
visiting in Mason with her
parents.

Thiebaud visited, after the
wedding, Saturday night with
her brother, Johnnie and
Joyce Weems of Odessa, in
the home of her sister, Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Gray.

be examined by the Public
Health Nurse at the clinic.
The nurse will also answer
any questions a parent or
guardian may have regarding
immunizations.
There is no charge for the
immunizations.

NAVY EXERCISE
Navy Airman Michael J.
Keith, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Texas, recently participated
in exercise “Solid Shield
’78."
Keith is assigned to the
amphibious assault ship USS
Guadalcanal, homeported in
Norfolk, Virginia.
"Solid Shield ’78" was the
16th in a series of annual,
joint-service exercises em-
phasizing command and con-
trol of military forces in a
simulated combat environ-
ment. This year's maneuvers
included amphibious and
airborne assaults, naval
blockade operations, person-
nel evacuations and tactical
air operation in support of
ground forces.
"Solid Shield ’78" was
under overall command of
Admiral Isaac C. Kidd, Jr.,
USN, the commander-in-chief
Atlantic.
A 1976 graduate of Gorman
High School, Keith joined the
Navy in July 1976.

GERMANY
Sgt. Benny C. Davis, son of

ed the Army Commendation
Medal in Berlin, Germany.
The medal was awarded for
meritorious service. Such
service can be over an
extended period of time or for
outstanding achievement in a
single situation. In either
case, the recipient must have
demonstrated skills and dedi-
cation far above theaverage.
Davis received the award
while assigned as a morot
sergeant with the 6th Infantry
in Berlin.
A graduate of DeLeon High
School in 1974, Davis entered
the Army in February, 1975.
