RID
JOY TO THE WORLD ... That Christ-
mas bells again can ring out to a world at
peace ... that this Christmas of 1945 the
guns of war are silent, and freedom-loving
peoples everywhere can again observe the
Christmas season in its true spirit.
This Christmas finds many homes already
brightened by loved ones returned from
die battlefields ... and other families filled
with the joyous anticipation of early
reunion.
In the midst of our gladness, we are ever
mindful of those who have sacrificed their
well-being or even life itself that "Peace
on Earth, Good Will Toward Men” might
be restored to the world.
And thus, as we look toward New Years
of Peace, we say with a new, a deeper mean-
ing, "Joy to the World!” And to our cus-
tomers and friends everywhere, we extend
our sincere best wishes for a merry Christ-
mas and a happy and prosperous 1946.
