FILLED PICKLED TONGUE
1 pickled tongue la cup fried onions
14 cup ground corned beef cup bread crumbs
2 eggs
Make an incision in one side of the pickled tongue. Chop or grind
th«e cooked corned beef. Add well beaten eggs, fried onions, 1 table-
spoon fat and bread crumbs. Fill the tongue with this mixture, sew
the edges firmly together, and cook in water to> cover 3 to 4 hours,
or until tender. Remove thick skin and slice.
BRISKET WITH PRUNES AND SWEET POTATOES
3 lbs. brisket of beef 2 cups honey
1 lb. prunes 6 cups water
2 lbs. sweet potatoes 1 teaspoon salt
\ Simmer meat with water and salt for two hours. Peel and cut
potatoes in quarters, and wash the prunes. Add the potatoes and
prunes to the meat, add the honey and a small piece of sour salt.
Cover the casserole and bake in a moderate oven until the meat is
soft and brown and potatoes are done. Add a little water if necessary.
Time For Men ”s Club Dance Nears
It is just about time for the
Men’s Club Dance honoring new-
comers and new members. The
dance is this Saturday evening at
the Ahavath Sholom center, 8:30
P.M.
There will be no tickets sold
in advance but those who fail to
come are going to miss out on
the dance of the year. Charge at
Three prominent Fort Worth
citizens will participate in a panel
discussion entitled “Fact and Fic-
tion in Race Relationship,’’ this
Wednesday evening, 8:.PM., at
Temple Beth-El Center.
The participants include Eugene
McCluny, Texas Christian Uni-
versity faculty member who will
discuss the anthropologists point
of view; Attorney Marcus G ins-
burg who will cover the legal as-
pects and Rabbi Robert J. Schur
who will discuss the moral point of
view.
The program has been arranged
by the Brotherhood of Temple
Beth-El and is open to the entire
public.
A social hour will follow. Louis
Weltman serves as President of
the Temple Beth-El Brotherhood.
the door will be $2.50 per person.
This includes set up, pop-corn, and
at mid-night an egg and bagel
breakfast.
Music and entertainment will
be provided by Trudy Coleman
and her Combo and the Glory-
tones.
Let’s have the entire member-

Clare Netzky to Mr. Benjamin Haskell Schwartz, son of Mr. and Mrs.
