A luncheon-book review for

the Brith Shalom Sisterhood

Sever-Year-Old Is
Nephrosis Victim
Seven-year-old Dauglas Ed-
ward LaFollette, 5438 Briarbend,
died Monday in a Houston hos-
pital, a victim of nephrosis, a
kidney disease from which he
had suffered since he was two.
Funeral services were to, be
held at 11 a.m. today from St.
John the Divine Chapel. Requiem
services were held yesterday
evening at the home. Burial was
to be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Survivors in addition to his
parents include a 12-year-old
brother, Sherman.

Miss Mary Ann Geraghty Becomes
Bride of Bernard Andrews Benson
In a double ring ceremony
Saturday evening at St. An-
drew’s Presbyterian Church,
Miss Mary Ann Geraghty, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Ger-
aghty, 4407 Acacia, became the
bride of Bernard Andrews Ben-
son, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B.
Benson of Kansas City, Mo.
The Rev. James E. Andrews
officiated at the ceremony and
organist was Jim Clark.
The church was decorated
with baskets of white gladiolus
and candelabra.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a gown
of handclipped Chantilly lace
fashioned with a tightly molded
bodice, long pointed sleeves and
a Sabrina neckline. Her full
skirt of lace and nylon tulle
flared into a chapel train. Her
fingertip veil of illusion fell from
a crown of bridal jewels.
Her bouquet was of white
roses centered by a white or-
chid and stephanotis.
The Attendants
Mrs. D. O. Falligant, 4606
Spruce, sister of the bride, was
maid of honor. Bridesmaids were
Miss Kathy Eresch, Mrs. J. C.
Geraghty, Miss Arline Dotson
Mrs. A. F. Geraghty, Jr., and
Miss Rosemary Moreland.
They wore seafoam green taf-
feta gowns styled with a molded
waistline and full skirt. On their
heads they wore matching jewel-
led bands with small veils.
Their bouquets were of white
daisies and English Ivy in a cres-
cent shape. *
Flower Girls
Flower girls were Miss Pa-
tricia Geraghty and Miss Cissie
| Falligant.
1 Best man was D. O. Falligant.
Groomsmen were Carroll E.
Voss, J. C. GePaghty, Donald
Merdian, A. F. Geraghty, Jr., and
Charles Crain.

for the reception which followed
the ceremony were Mrs. J. R.
Westmoreland. Miss Kay Shan-
non. Mrs. J. H. Schoggin, Miss
j Sonia Christenson and Mrs. E.
A. Snapp.
After a wedding trip to Mexi-
co, the couple will live at 4323
Alconbury Lane.
U of II. Grad
Miss Geraghty is a graduate
of Lamar High School and the
University of Houston. While
attending the U of H she was
a member of Delta Gamma na-
tional sorority and president of
the pledge chapter of Delta Gam-
ma. She was a member of Stud-
ent Assembly, Women’s Fra-
ternal Council and the Women’s
Student Association and a prin-
cess in the senior court of the
May Fete. She is now a member
of Delta Gamma Alumnae and
the Women’s Auxiliary of Texas
Children’s Hospital. She is pres-
ently employed as secretary at |
Cunningham & Walsh Advertis-
ing Agency.
The groom is a graduate of
MIT where he was a member of
