The Quality of Violets
HEN MAN came upon earth, and first
learned to thrill at beauty and at constancy,
violets were doubtless blooming by the paths
he trod.
Age after age, the quality of violets had been the
same, unchanged by the elements, and the passing of
time. Each spring they have timidly put forth their
fragrant flowers, long before other plants began to
bloom. In time, men noticed the wonderful courage
of the little flower, and the hope that they inspired.
One poet said:
"With Spring's own fragrance in their breath,
And Summer's beauty in their forms,
And bright as though their verdant leaves,
Had never felt the wintry storms."
Spring is here again, and the violets are with us.
Again we are reminded of their beautiful Quality of
courage and constancy to an age old purpose.
This house strives to pattern after the violets in
the matter of courage and constancy to purpose.
Quality has ever been its aim, and the courage to
insist upon Quality in the goods handled, the chief
thing of which it is proud.
Your Spring business is solicited, with the positive
assurance that there is the beauty of Quality, in every
article offered.
