CHRONIC COLDS
ARE CONTRACTED BY CHANGE
ABLE WEATHER
Sudden changes ar? particularly
trying for eld people or those who
suffer from a weakened run-down
com!:\ion, ehT'tnie cough--, colds or
bronchitis, but if such persons
would only apply common sense
methods in the treatment of their
condition, much discomfort and suf-
fering might be avoided.
The most essential thing to do is
to build up strength, enrich the
blood, increase vital resistance and
to accomplish this nothing equals
Vinol, our cod liver and iron tonic.

Manager G. G. McNeese of the
Southwestern Tedegraph and Tele-
phone Company of Brenham today
received instructions from the Gen-
era! Commercial Superintendent, P.
K. Baker of Dallas, to co-operate in
every way possible with Governor
Colquitt in the due observance of the
Good Roads Days which have been
set apart November 5-6.
lie is requested to communicate
with every one of the rural ofliee
telephones in Washington County
and request that each and every one
notify the people in their respective
vicinities to lay aside other duties
on the days mentioned and spend
the time in working the roads of the
county that happens to traverse
their localities.
In reponse to the request and for
the purpose of having Washington
County well represented in the laud-
able efforts at securing good roads
Manager McNec|-e today sent the
request to every station in the coun-
ty, Numerous answers were re-
turned all of which were favorable
and the outlook now is that when
the two days designated—November
r-i-ti—roll around the people of
Washington County will all be busy
see:* ;- what community can have
the best roads.
In this connection it is probable
that Manager McNeese himself with
hip entire force of linemen will
.spend the two days mentioned on
some of the conntry roads doing
their best to remove the jolts and
roajrh places that are said to exist
in this county.
! From day to day requests and in*
; quiries will be sent out till every
person in Washington County who
lives in the rural districts and who
owns a telephone will receive the
glad tidings and also be requested
to send the same to his neighbors to
sharpen up the axes and the h'oe»
j and get* ready for two days good old
; fashioned road working when the
time rolls around.
j Remember the two days—Novem-
j ber 5-6.
