The Wichita Business College
of Wichita Falls, is doing excel-
lent work. Every student they
have graduated secured a good
position within a week after fin-
ishing at salaries of $50 to $75 per
month to start with. No other
college in Tsxas ever made such
a record. This college is now also
running a special summer term of
three months for a tuition of $20
for the term, and many are en-
rolling for this term. The Wiohi-
ta Business College is a great
thing for this part of the state.

Ambrose Buie and his bride
came home laat week. For the
preaent they are staying at Judge
Britain's. Arnbroae contemplates
building this summer.

Misses Ruby Turner and Vera
Newton came in Wednesday night
from Sherman where they have
been attending Kid-Key college.
They report that they learned a
great deal and had lots of fun
too. The young ladies have many
friends here who are glad they
are home again.
C. M. Hunt, one of Baylor's old
pioneers now of Lockney, made
us another visit this week. His
main object this time was to make
his son 6. a present of two hor«s
ses and a buggy. He said Wed-
nesday reminded him of old times.
While here Mr. Hunt bad us to
replace his name on the Banner's
subscription list.
W. T. Hayter, with the Prof,
left off, made a flying trip to
Clarendon this week. Mr. and
Mrs. Plemona of Washington
Territory, relatives of Mr3. Hay-
ter are here on a visit.
W. T. Slaughter, of Richland,
came back this week from Coop-
erton, O. T., where he has been
on a visit to his son. His son, E.
C. Slaughter owns a farm in Bay-
lor county, and Mr. Slaughter re-
queata us to send him the Ban-
ner.
The skating rink will be closed
during the meeting from JO to 11
o'clock in the morning and from
8 to 9 o'clock at night. The floor
haa been repaired and will be kept
in go®d condition. Under the new
management everything will be
kept clean and up-to-date. La-
dies are especially invited to come
at all houra of the day, and assis-
tance will bo given them in learn-
ing to skate. Rink open till 12
o'clock at night.

W. R. K. Roberta returned
Monday from the territory where
he haa been visiting for a month.
He says that nowhere ate crop
conditions better than here. He
says he_don't mind a dry country,
and that he can make enough in
one year here to last him three or
four years. Mr. Roberts raised
sixty bales of cotton off one hun
dred acres of land laat fall and
plowed ten bales under this spring
He sends the Banner to his neph-
ew, Grover Grundy, at Whites-
boro. . _
N. B. Blevins, a skilled veteri-
nary surgeon of Young county,
will be in Seymour again, from
the 12th to 15th of June. He
successfully cuts out fistula, poll

killed his wife, Wilburn Pierce

Midland. Mrs. Warren was the
daughter of the late ex-Sheriff

complaint made to me about
shooting in and around town. It
is a misdemeanor punishable by
a heavy fine for anyone to shoot
across astreet, alley, or any thor-
oughfare with a gun of any kind.
All parties are hereby warned to
govern themselves accordingly.
