HIGHLIGHTS OF MS. BEVERLY JEAN CAMPBELL'S LIFE
"I just want to praise you forever, and ever, and ever, for all you've
done, done for me. Blessings and glory, and honor, they all
belong to you. Thank you Jesus for blessing me!"
Ms. Campbell was born to the parents of Mr. Douglas Campbell
and Mrs. Ida Mae Norwood Campbell King. Both parents and her
only brother, Kinnon Eitel Campbell, MSGT (Retired) preceded her
in death. She was known affectionately as Jean by both family
and close friends.
She graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School and Santa Rosa's
Nursing School as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
As a native of San Antonio, she lived her entire life on Blue Bonnet
Street. During life, she traveled to other states and foreign
countries.
Jean spent her life assisting others. Her first support was being the
oldest to three siblings. Then, in the field of nursing, she loved
helping others, especially babies and children. This nurturing
nature led her into positions of: senior care, nanny, shipping clerk,
and administrative assistant. Caring and assisting others was her
life's purpose.
Throughout her entire life, Jean served our Heavenly Father. She
spent more than four decades as a member of New Mount
Pleasant Baptist Church. Later, she moved her membership to
Believers Christian Center. Her faith in God never wavered even
when she was tormented by pain. Jean's last earthly days can be
summed up by the song, "I Won't Complain".
Jean's treasured memories are left with two sisters: Douglas Mae
Newton (Jerome) and Leona I. Tealer; two nephews: Charles L.
Clack, Jr. and Jason Campbell Tealer; sister in Christ, Joe Ann
Brown (Vernice, Delbert and Roderick); two great aunts: Mrs. Sallie
Ivory (Jimmy) and Mrs. Eretta Jennings; Adopted Brother, Carl C.
Campbell; Godson, Rev. Rodney M. Lara; her extended family:
Clem Lyons (Stephanie); Robin Lyons Denapoli (Michael); Kelly
Allen (Stuart and Aiden); Sean Lyons (Jennalie); and a host of
other relatives and friends.
