Notes

Text: "Tuesday afternoon. My Own Precious Sweetheart - I am so sorry I did not get to write you yesterday, and will not get time for a note today - but, wait, till this anatomy exam is over, then I'll write you a long letter. 140 pages is considerable anatomy -- especially when you leave it all to be done the last two days before the quiz! I missed your letter very much yesterday, and was so glad to get one this morning. I am sorry to hear that your mother is still sick - keeping house & teaching school at the same time keeps you pretty busy, doesn't it? I received a long letter from Dad yesterday, and they are having a grant vacation in Chicago - he's got two more universities to visit, I believe. What do you know, sweetheart, we get there on Monday morning, May 28th; I don't suppose there is a chance of my staying for the fall now - when it would mean _two_ days with you. I'm sure glad I didn't go ahead and make a date, the exam schedule came out yesterday. Libbus, Hazel didn't take your place at all - nobody can do that. I love you, again, again, Felix."
