Minutes later the Buffs
marched to the Hornet’s 10
yard line. Jackie Placke pass-
ed to Martin Lee Moerbe for
the second touchdown. Carles-
ton’s try for point again was
a failure .
An intercepted pass set up
Caldwell’s only touchdown.
After a series of downs the ball
was resting on the Buff’s one
foot line. From there Billy
Womble plunged over for the
touchdown and Homeyer con-
verted, making the score 12 - 7
in favor of the Buffs.
With a few minutes remain-
ing in the game, Billy Womble
was trapped behind his own
goal line for two points for the
Buffs.
The game ended 14 - 7, thus
giving the Buffs six wins and
three defeats.
There are also some very
good prospects coming up, ac-
cording to the coach.
The team will be wearing
new uniforms this year. The
uniforms have black pants,
gold jerseys, and black num:-
bers.

The "B" game was very close

ROST certainly are making
eyes at each other. Say, Jack-
ie, where does MARCELLA
come in on this, and what does
she have to say ? ? ?
Is it true? I mean about ELI-
ZABETH SCHNEIDER wear-
ing ROY LEUBNER’S watch.
RUTH WEISER seems to be
doing right good.
She can’t
wait for weekends to
roll
around ‘cause she knows she’ll
be with RED SAEGERT.
VELMA JEAN WEISER is
all smiles here lately. Can you
blame her? Of course, she is
like that only, because she
goes with ALFRED SCHULZE
Have you ever watched CA-
ROLYN VOLKERS when she
is idle? Really she isn’t idle
because she’s always dream-
ing about DICKY PARKS. No
wonder she is always so anx-
ious to go to Elgin That’s
where he’s from, you know.
Even though, BUDDY GOOD-
SON is somewhat shy, I don’t
think he’ll stay like that long,
if he stays around these fresh-
man classmates of his — espe-
cially the girls.
ANGIE MITSCHKE surely
does puzzle me. Once she
doesn’t think of anyone but
CHAMP, and then again, she
wears a Rockdale jacket. I
hope things work out without
too much confusion.
Well, dears, I suppose
I’ll
have to stop this dreamy stuff.
Of course, not all of it is so
dreamy. I’m sure you know
which is which. Good luck to
you all.
