Medina County Sheriff Charles J.
Kitzfelder has issued a request for
17—who were on their way to spend
Thanksgiving in Eagle Pass with
the parents of one of the men.
The hitchhikers told Hitzfelder
they were taken, instead, to the old
Quihi Rd , where the attempted
rape of the young woman occurred
while the men held a knife to her
throat But, the sheriff said the girl
fought them off long enough for her
husband to get his knife. One

Castroville Zoning Adjustment
Board on Nov. 25 to ask for
validation of the previously revoked
permit. But, Pat Ahr, a member of
the board, said he felt the Zoning
Adjustment Board couldn’t act on
the validity of the permit; it is not a
variance. Therefore, he moved that
the board take no action on the
Tschirharts’ permit, and the motion
passed unanimously.
In other action, it was announced
that Randolph AFB has decided
against using Castroville Municipal
Airport as the site for jet training,
since the Randolph officials said the
runway would require too much
repair, etc., to make it feasible to
use the site.
