No. 207 1 AN ACT 2 relating to the reduction of registration, license, and renewal 3 fees required to be paid by certain land surveyors. 4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 5 SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 1071, Occupations Code, is 6 amended by adding Section 1071.1527 to read as follows: 7 Sec. 1071.1527. REDUCED FEES FOR ELDERLY LAND SURVEYORS. 8 The board by rule may adopt reduced certificate of registration and 9 license fees and annual renewal fees for land surveyors who are at 10 least 65 years of age. 11 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives 12 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as 13 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this 14 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this 15 Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
