new members. During the cere-
mony Stan Crowley spoke on
scholarship, Alan Johns, ser-
vice; Lynn Orr, leadership;
Gene Graham, character. The
initiates then signed the consti-
tution and received their mem-
bership cards from Jo Beth
Scott.
Initiates were Steve Askew,
Candace Curbo, Sue Glover,
Johnny Hill, Ted Price, Cherry
Ribble, Kathy Stewart, and Di-

February 28, in Bullock’s Cafe
for their annual birthday cele-
bration and initiation of new
members. The birthday cele-
bration was led by Jim Chas-
tain. Preston Pratt, Phil Bird-
well, Danna Knight, and Linda
Tiffin, all senior members,
gave wishes for the society bas-
ed on the principles of schol-
arship, service, leadership,
and character.

Gayle, infant daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Calvin Coley. Tandi
arrived on Feb. 30 and weighs
5 Iba. 14 ot She has black hair
and blue eyes and was 18 inches
long at birth. Her paternal
grandparents are Mr. and Mrs.
T. H. Coley of Hooks, Texas,
who visited the new daughter and
parents last weekend. Her ma-
ternal grandparents are Mr. and
Mrs. Ben Spear of Atlanta, Tex-

Alan, infant son of John and
Charlotta Hamilton of Fort
Worth. Stephen arrived on Feb-
ruary 14, weighing 8 lbs. 10
1/3 ounces. He has brown hair
and blue eyes, and was 20
Inches long at birth.
He will soon be visited his
maternal grandmother, Mrs. A.
R. Robinson here at Murray.
The Baptist congregation and
their pastor, Bro. Don Ham-
mer went to Graham Sunday af-
ternoon to the First Baptist
Church for a baptismal service.
Four junior boys and girls, Der-
ace Schlittler, Roy Reger,
Brenda Reger and Debbie More-
land were baptized.
We thank the pastor and con-
gregation of Graham First Bap-
tist for this courtesy in allowing
us the use of their baptistry.
Mrs. A. R. Robinson visited
her sister, Mrs. Alice Mayes
and niece, Mrs. Agnes Patrick
in Olney Hospital Saturday.
We extend sympathy to the
family of Mr. Bailey chapman
who passed away recently in
Wichita Falls. His funeral was
held in the Murray Methodist
Church. He was the brother-in-
law of Henry Kramer, who lived
in our community many years,
now residing In Woodson.
