Mr. R. S. Stroud, resident of
Graham since 1943, observed
his 100th birthday Tuesday,
January 4 at the Golden Age
Home. A birthday dinner and
celebration was given in his
honor Sunday, January 2 at the
home of his son, J. R. Stroud
and Mrs. Stroud, 711 Tennes-
see.
Mr. Stroud was born January
4, 1866 in Paris, Texas, and
moved to Graham in 1943.
This occasion marked the
first time in 18 years the fam-
ilies had a reunion. Some of the
grandchildren, greatgrandchil-
dren and great great grand-
children had never met until
this family reunion Sunday.
Two sons, J. R. Stroud of
Graham and E. S. Stroud of
Youngtown, Arizona, were pre-
sent for the anniversary din-
ner. A daughter, Mrs. H. H.
Moore of Monrovia, California
was unable to attend the reun-
ion.
