is deceptive. This 15-year old boy
has the looks, style and talents of
a grown man. When I first saw him I
caught myself doing a doubletake; I
had a preconceived image of him that
did not hold.
Little Charlie and the Eager
Beaver Boys have: Charlie Sexton,
vocals and lead guitar; Alex Napier,
bass and harmony (former member of
The Cobras) and Gary "Muddkatt"
Smith, drummer (formerly of the
Teddy Boys).
There’s a whole other feel to
this music he plays—sounds straight
from the hearts of Texas—rockabilly
blues—it's like being in an exclu-
sive club that only a few can join.
Despite his youth, Charlie has
played in front of, behind and with
some of the best Texas performers.
He is a long time friend and player
of the incredible Vaughan brothers
(Jimmie, lead guitarist of the Fabu-
lous Thunderbirds, and Stevie Ray
and Double Trouble), Joe Ely and
"The Godfather" of blues, W. C.
