Notes

Item Text: "Dear Mrs. and Mr. Kempner, I want to apologize for the delay in answering your so kind letter dated January 26, 1955 which I appreciated very much. The reason for such delay derives from the bad weather that caused me a slight flue; now with the sight of the sun and the blue sky, I am feeling better and especially very happy looking forward to seeing you pretty soon. I miss you very much and wish you were here again. Thank you so very much for the parcels you were good to forward me. I want to advise you that they have not yet reached me. Maybe they will be delivered to me these coming days. I hope they are not lost during the trip. I will let you know as soon as they arrive. I hope you and Op. Kempner are in the best of health and that things are going well. I need not tell you how impatient I am to hear more about this visa. Once again, please forgive me for taking the liberty of asking you for clothing for my family but you were the only person to whom I could address such a request. Thanks for all the trouble you took. Very cordially yours, Helene."
