Letter from Henry Morgenthau to D. W. Kempner discussing the responsibilities and challenges of facing American Jewish community and inviting Kempner to an emergency national conference in Washington on September 10th and 11th. He also highlights the significance of evaluating their position in the aftermath of World War II and the need for informed decision making regarding future of Jewish people. The letter also includes an enclosed card template mentioning that he will attend the conference and asking for a hotel reservation to be made. The letter also includes an envelope with Henry Morgenthau name printed on top.
