It is most important to secure

old they should be transplanted.
Prepare your hot bed by re-
moving the soil to the depth* of
twelve inches the full length of
the bed. Fill this bed with
good manure and pack it firmly.
On top of it put a five inch lay-
er of good light soil. When the
air has reached a temperature of
about 75 degrees sow the seeds
thickly and cover with a quar-
ter of an inch of soil.
Place coarse sacks on top of
the bed and it will aid the seeds
to germinate.
Give air on warm days and
