The Family Crisis Center, until recently known as the Community
Crisis Center, was voted to be an ongoing community project for the
Highland Lakes Republican Women's Club at its February meeting
held at the Federated Church in Sunrise Beach. Members were then
urged to be active participants in the upcoming neighborhood cancer
drives. Mina Dixon reported on the rapid rate of increase in spending
in the state executive offices followed by a comprehensive review of
parlimentary procedure given by Dorothy Crockett.
It was announced that the Austin Republican Women's Club had
extended an invitation to the HLRWC and their guests to hear Judge
Pat Lykos speak Thursday, March 7, at 9:45 a m. at the Coors
Reception Center in Austin. Anyone wishing to arrange for
transportation should contact Leslie Huckabee at 512-598-6551.
