was elected president of
the South Central Texas Club
of the Unversity of Texas at a
meeting held February twenty-
third. He takes office to suc-
ceed Travis Wendel, of Shiner,
the retiring president.-
Other officers chosen include
Clyde Otto of Shiner, vice-
president; Jo Ruth Schwartz of
Schulenburg, secretary; Mar-
jorie Papacek of Moulton, treas-
urer; Bobby Gindler of Weimar,
and Glenna Ruth Walters of
Gonzales, co-social chairman;
Edwin Hollek of Weimar, ser-
geant-at-arms; and Peggy Has-
