Handwritten note on back of postcard: "Dear mother and father I will drop you a card [...] in the canteen camp for 21 day this is my first day this is the lovers leap I told you about. love to all, John Vaughn, Camp MacArthur. Miss Dora Vaughn St. Clair Franklin Mo." There is also a stamp that reads "Waco, Texas Sep 26 12- M 1918."
