Become Federal Route South To
San Antonio And Valley

known as the Pecan Belt Highway

recognise its new status.

way Department changed its numbet
to state Highway 16 and added on
the south road from 'Fredericksburg
to Kerrrille to Bandera to San An
tonio. On the north, the route from
DeLeon to Desdemona to Strawn
to Possum Kingdom Dam to the
Southwest corner of Jack county

J. W. Thomas of this community,
died Jan. 10, mo. Mr. Thomas waa
born in Rutherford county, Tenn.,
in 18*6. He moved to Collin coun-
ty, Texas, in 1893, later he moved
to Cleburne, Texas. He married
Miss Sarah Jane Prater in 1910.
They masted to Jean in 1910 where
he lived until his death. He had
reached the age of 83 years and 16
day«. Mr. Thomas is survived by
his Wife, one daughter, Mrs. D.
