With school opening just
around the corner it is inter-
esting to note the large in-
crease we've had in public
school enrollment., in the lait
six years. In that period of
time Graham’s - average daily
attendance has increased from
1870 in 1985 to 2170 jn 1960,
which- represents a student in-
crease of 294.
The figures are for average
attendancs and do not neces-
sarily show the true increase in
students Graham has witnessed.
'In this same period, student en-
rollment has jumped from 1994
in 1955 to 2296 in 1960, which
represents a 802 increase in the
six year period.
At the same time our school
system has expanded its plant
by the addition of five buijd-
ings. Since 1955 we nave con-
structed Crestview Elementary,
Lincoln School, a new High
School band building, a sci-
ence and an administration
building on the High School
campus. Over $600,000 has been
spent on school improvements
since 1955.
Teachers
Parallel to the student and
plant growth is the increase
in teachers which has jumped
tropi 80 , faculty members .in
