Original script untitled. Transcript of script: "(Saigon) U.S. fighter bombers today made massive strikes against North Vietnamese positions around fire bass ripcord. It had been abandoned yesterday by U.S. troops three weeks of heavy losses. No new U.S ground action was reported in the area although U.S. have been operating out of four other bases in the area. South Vietnamese infantrymen sweeping iles Southwest of ripcord found a North Vietnamese camp that had been smashed by a B-52 raid Wednesday. But the destruction had no apparent effect on the enemy pressure which forced the American withdrawal. A South Vietnamese spokesman says government troops found the bodies of 53 North Vietnamese soldiers. (Saigon) The fourth phase of the president's Vietnamization policy picked up steam today with reports that from the first Marine division have begun returning to the United States. The withdrawal will cut American Marine strength in Vietnam under 37,000. (Anman, Jordan) Palestinian guerilla organizations today rejected the American cease-fire proposal which had been accepted by Egyptian president Nasser. (Athens) Tow Jordanian terrorists went on trial for murder in Athens today. They are accused of throwing a hand grenade at into the Athens office of Israeli El Al airlines. A two-and-one-half year old boy was killed and 14 other persons were injured in the November 1969 incident. (New Brunswick, New Jersey) New Brunswick police reported the city quiet early today after a night of rock throwing and fire bombing. Police from four neighboring towns were called in to help quell the disturbances."
