The Pettinger Engine Collection
About the Collection
Over a 25-year period from 1997 to 2022 Wes Pettinger built a vast collection of working model and miniature engines, including many that are rare and some that are one-of-a-kind. The UNT Pettinger Center for Design and Innovation houses and displays hundreds of miniature engines from this collection, while UNT Libraries preserves and makes accessible the related photographic and textual documentation of the collection.
