Matthews Family and Lambshead Ranch
History
One of the most historic in Texas, this cattle ranch is still owned and operated by descendants of Judge J.A. and Sallie Reynolds Matthews (the author of the chronicle Interwoven), pioneer ranchers and trail drivers who arrived in East Texas in the 1850s and the Clear Fork of the Brazos River in 1866.
