Latimer Papers
This collection was assembled by businessman and Texas state representative Truett Latimer (1928-) and donated to Hardin-Simmons University in the 1980s. Containing more than 6,000 items, the collection provides insight into the issues and concerns facing the Texas Legislature in the 1950s during the time that Latimer was serving five terms as a state representative. The bulk of the collection consists of letters and telegrams from constituents as well as Latimer's responses.
