Allie Aleen Allen was born in Belton on August 18, 1865. In September 1890 she married William Henry Brown, a merchant and financier of Bluefields, Nicaragua and they made their home in Central America until 1915, when they returned to Belton. Mrs. Brown died June 30, 1933 and he died April 24, 1923. Their children were Bessie (1891-1957), who married Henry C. Ghent Jr. son of Dr. H.C. and Sarah Pearce Ghent; and Harry, who married Alene Bassel, daughter of John D. and Sarah Jane Messer Bassel. The Browns and Henry C. Ghent Jr. are buried in the Allen family plot in North Belton Cemetery.
